Clean Sweep, Tim Hooper’s latest design, was the free plan in RCM&E’s Jan 2012 issue. The stylish, forward swept wing, 47” span racer-inspired sportster suits an inexpensive power system – Tim used a 3542 1250Kv outrunner and a 3S 2700mAh Li-Po battery for his model. Aimed at the intermediate builder and pilot, it’s an all-balsa design (you can make your own canopy from a drinks bottle) and flies as good as it looks.
Don’t forget to check out Tim’s Clean Sweep build blog at www.modelflying.co.uk. Wingspan: 47” Fuselage length: 38” Wing area: 365 sq. in.
