Full Description

Having been thought lost in our archives for many years we are pleased to reintroduce this 1/4 scale model from popular designer Duncan Hutson. Spanning 69″ (1752mm) with a one-piece wing following conventional construction, it can be built either as a fixed undercarriage version or with suitable retracts as was the case with the full-size aircraft.  The 2 sheet CAD drawn plan shows engine choice of either .60 2 stroke or a Laser 90 -120 4 stroke – though with the roomy cowl modern suitably sized petrol engines are an option. The radio required is 4 channels or more.
** Please note that the wood pack for this particular plan includes the fibreglass topdeck, as details are not shown on the plan to construct it.  The topdeck, canopy, and fibreglass engine cowl are of course available separately if spares are ever required. THIS IS THE LASER CUT WOOD PACK ONLY (the FG Top Deck is required to complete the model).
The Jurca MJ-5 Sirocco is a two-seat sport aircraft designed in France in the early 1960s and marketed for homebuilding. It is one of many wooden homebuilt designs from Romanian born designer Marcel Jurca.
What’s in an Additional Wood Pack? – Our Additional Wood Packs contain MOST of the necessary sheet and strip wood needed to complete a model being built from a Sarik Hobbies plan and using the associated laser cut wood pack, if available. We stock a wide range of balsa, ply and spruce in popular sheet and strip sizes but even so we cannot guarantee to be able to supply all the wood necessary to complete each model. So some additional purchases may be required from other modelling wood stockists if not available from Sarik Hobbies. Our Additional Wood Packs only contain balsa, ply and spruce wood in the stock sizes as used by our suppliers and do not include other materials that may be required to complete the model such as hardwoods, metals and GRP sheet.
