Percival Q6 Petrel (112″) – Additional Wood Pack

A 1:5 scale (112″ span) electric twin ‘feederliner’ for inexpensive outrunner motors and 5-function R/C. Construction is all wood from the three very large and well-detailed plan sheets and details split flaps. Designed by Robin Fowler, this plan builds into an impressive 112” (2845mm) span 1/5th scale model of the elegant pre-war Percival Q.6 Petrel airliner and military communications aircraft. The 3-sheet plan includes full details of installing elevators, ailerons, rudder, flaps, motors and fixed undercarriage.

Note that this plan illustrates the fixed-undercarriage version. Some Q.6’s were built with retractable undercarriage. The model was designed to be powered by an 8000mAh 3S LiPo battery driving a pair of TowerPro 3520-670 rpm/V electric motors.

What’s in an Additional Wood Pack? – Our Additional Wood Packs contain MOST of the necessary sheet and strip wood needed to complete a model being built from a Sarik Hobbies plan and using the associated laser cut wood pack, if available. We stock a wide range of balsa, ply and spruce in popular sheet and strip sizes but even so we cannot guarantee to be able to supply all the wood necessary to complete each model. So some additional purchases may be required from other modelling wood stockists if not available from Sarik Hobbies. Our Additional Wood Packs only contain balsa, ply and spruce wood in the stock sizes as used by our suppliers and do not include other materials that may be required to complete the model such as hardwoods, metals and GRP sheet.
