Full Description
The model is about 1/5th scale, which gives a wingspan of 54”. Peters favourite combination of a 3541 1070 brushless motor, a 40-amp ESC and a 3S 3000mAh LiPo would be the right power set up.
So here we have a model that looks great and is pretty easy to build. It weighs 3 lbs 13 ounces ready to fly. This is one of the nicest, best-behaved models that Peter has flown in a very long time – and he’s had quite a few favourites!
Electrical set up is available from 4 Max: www.4-max.co.uk/pm-rans-s9-chaos.html
Further building information is available in the October 2020 issue of RCM&E and on www.modelflying.co.uk
Full size:- The Rans S-9 Chaos is an American single-engined, tractor configuration, single-seat, mid-wing monoplane designed by Randy Schlitter for aerobatics and manufactured by Rans Inc. The Chaos is available in kit form for amateur construction.
What’s in a Laser or CNC Cut Wood Pack? – A CNC or laser cut wood pack contains most, if not all, of the intricately shaped parts shown on the plan, which would be difficult or time-consuming to cut out by hand. It does not contain any sheet or strip wood, which you will need to buy separately. Alternatively, you can purchase an Additional Wood Pack, if available. Our Laser or CNC Cut Wood Packs only contain balsa, ply and lite ply and do not include other materials that may be required to complete the model, such as hardwoods, metals and GRP sheets.
