Twinkler – MM2102

Full Description

Twinkler – MM2102

A comprehensive, highly-detailed single sheet plan for a classic 1960's sports model boat. Based on an original design by Vic Smeed that was first published in Radio Control Models and Electronics, July 1963, the model has been updated by Dave Milbourn to accept modern radio equipment and electric power. The length is 20 inches (520mm) long, but the plan can be re-scaled as desired. The model is constructed largely of balsawood and is very easy to build using basic hand tools. To further help the beginner, Dave has written a six-page step-by-step construction article with many photographic illustrations. The plan and article were published in the 2015 Spring Special issue “65 Years of Model Boating” (edited by Colin Bishop).

Plan MM2102 is drawn on one large sheet and is available from MyHobbyStore Ltd, priced at £12.50 + p/p.
