UTE Work Boat – Laser Cut Wood Pack

The two-sheet plan includes the full-size frames, side skins etc., plus the basic deck layout and profiles. The model can be completed as a sports or utility boat if the model builder so desires. The plan includes some constructional advice, but the article covers in-depth the building process. It is easy to build using only hand tools and balsa and Liteply wood. plan can be easily scaled up for a larger working r/c model if desired. It is recommended for those with some previous experience of building models from plan.

The model has been designed by Glynn Guest and was first featured in the 2013 February issue of Model Boats, pages 10 to 16.

What’s in a Laser or CNC Cut Wood Pack? – A CNC or laser cut wood pack contains most, if not all, of the intricately shaped parts shown on the plan, which would be difficult or time-consuming to cut out by hand. It does not contain any sheet or strip wood, which you will need to buy separately. Alternatively, you can purchase an Additional Wood Pack, if available. Our Laser or CNC Cut Wood Packs only contain balsa, ply and lite ply and do not include other materials that may be required to complete the model, such as hardwoods, metals and GRP sheets.
