Kestrel (56.5″) – Additional Wood Pack

This model is a good-looking sport parasol wing design from Lindsay Todd in the form of a 56.5” (1435mm) wingspan sport scale design suitable for a .52 cu.in. four-stroke or equivalent electric power.

The wings are made in three parts, with a connecting tube spar, but could easily be adapted to a single piece if so wished. Flight characteristics are benign, but Kestrel is capable of all the basic aerobatics and simply looks pretty in the sky with its scale-like proportions and is just a little bit different.

This is a fun model as it is a sport design that looks like a real aeroplane but with none of the hassles so often associated with scale models. However the design lends itself to further details and you could really go to town, and it would make a great scale practice model or simple weekend sports hack.

The model is suitable for the average club-level pilot with some building experience.
